It’s so important to drink lots of water throughout the day. Staying hydrated prevents you from getting drained and losing energy. Get yourself a refillable water bottle and take it with you every time you leave the house. Take a sip every time you get even a little bit thirsty.
Cooking at home is the best way to eat. This way you know exactly what is going into your food. Eating pre-made meals from the grocery store or out at restaurants, you never know exactly how much sugar or salt is going in to your food. Plus, cooking at home is definitely a money saver!
Studies have found that the smell of oranges, also lavender, can reduce anxiety and improve alertness. You don’t even need actual oranges, so get yourself a scented candle or air freshener!
The 20/20/20 rule is to prevent your eyes from tiring out. We find ourselves on the computer, staring at a screen for hours on end, and eventually we feel the strain on our eyes. Apply the 20/20/20 rule, every 20 minutes you’ve been staring at a screen, look 20 feet away, for 20 seconds.
When sitting in an office chair for hours, it’s important to consider your posture. What kind of chair are you sitting in and how are you sitting in it? Make sure the chair fits with the curve of your back and your feet on the floor. Like this you can avoid fatigue, pain, and poor circulation.
When listening to music on your headphones make sure you do not exceed 60% of the volume capacity. If you can’t hear anything around you then you’ve got the volume up too loud! Also try not to listen to your headphones for more than an hour. Take good care of your ears, hearing loss is irreversible.
It’s not just something dentist say, they really mean it! Flossing will keep your gums healthy and prevent tooth decay. There have also been links between heart disease and tooth loss. So seriously, floss!
Walk whenever you have the chance! Take the stairs instead of the elevator or get off the bus early to walk the rest of the way home. Walking is great for your muscles and bones, it will also decrease the risk of diabetes and heart disease.
To avoid unnecessary purchases at the grocery store, do not go there on an empty stomach! Eat something before you go so you can shop right!

It’s better to avoid wearing undergarments to bed. This will give your genitals more air so there is no bacteria growth and no bladder infections.
Mindful eating requires you to consider what you are eating, how much you are eating, and how fast you are eating. Eating slowly and mindfully will prevent you from overeating.
